Puma x Undefeated Nubuck in Stripe Off

Undefeated and Puma released this collection called the Stripe Off using the Clyde model which uses premiums in three colors. The colors include shades of team burgundy, tawny olive, steel grey and some whisper white. Each also has the reflective details seen on the tongue and the heel.

UNDFTD x Puma Ballistic Collection

The collaborative projects between Puma and UNDFTD has come a long way when records would be reviewed. The most recent clydes have already the logo of five strikes and the brand new set comes with the pastel colors with uppers in ballistic nylon. It has overlays in tonal suede and some white leather Formstripes. The RS Hightop is set on some grey and purple stripes. Check out all pairs in the pictures ahead!

Puma

Who would not know the strong tiger logo and the brand name called Puma? Well, we do and want to give you updates and new releases through our blog category made especially for Puma shoes. As Bay Area Kicks looks back, we remember how this sneaker brand was founded which was not base on the typical and boring purposes of rendering good service or the idea of making lots of money. Instead, Puma was created out of great sibling rivalry. We have already mentioned the brothers Rudolf and Adi Dassler when we talked about Adidas. But this time, Puma’s story starts with them too when they founded their Dassler Brothers Shoe factory in Germany.

They were really successful working together as they created the very first sneakers with spikes in the world. During the Olympic games in 1936, Jesse Owens started running for a total of four gold medals in sneakers that were made by the brothers. The company was really becoming successful but not until the two brothers were enlisted for the war. Their factory was repurposed for the German government. After the war and a lot of issues that arise in the process of change, the two brothers did not think that they can work together anymore already. It was Rudi who started Puma on the other side of town and in time, there was the famous rivalry between Adidas and Puma.

BAK notes through our series of postings that Puma never stays behind the line of the direct competition. In fact, they were always courageous to fight upfront and come up with their numerous innovations and releases as well. The Puma Atom was one of the first sneakers ever produced by the brand which is a soccer cleat. Sooner, Rudi came up with a design for soccer shoes that come with removable spikes to have adjustable traction that would flex to different field conditions.

Many of the West German soccer team sported Puma cleats in their games. After which, Puma came up with the Super Atom model which started another spark of competition and rivalry between the brothers. The Super Atom was soon followed by the Brasil model which has the innovation of the screw-in studs worn by most of the members of the Hannover 96 soccer club as they bid for the German national championship. Both teams of Sweden and Brazil wore the Puma cleats during the final game in the 1958 World Cup.

For the first time, the distinct formstrip of the brand was distinguished and one of the most notable players of Brazil then scored two goals wearing his own Puma cleats. This event credited the young man names Pele to be the King of Soccer while wearing Puma shoes. After 28 years, another renowned player gave way for Puma in the name of Argentina’s Diego Maradona. He wore Pumas all throughout his being considered as the Player of the Tournament with his winning performance during the 1986 World Cup.

All the more, we want to highlight through our site that the success of Puma was not just limited to the game of soccer. Puma is also great in producing award winning running shoes, tennis sneakers, and even in the world of boxing as Oscar De La Hoya sports the brand. Even in the world of music, the company even signed up with the rock group of Korn in 1998. We guess that even through our modern days, the rivalry between Puma and Adidas moves on since this band years before have seen dressed in the triple stripe brand called Adidas.

Puma also had a wide variety of sneaker designs and models which captured the attention of those who are into casual fashion. They have the Puma Men’s El Rey that is a classic sneaker which receives a modern makeover with its slip on style. It has a split vamp, a fresh rubber strap and a fully padded interior lining. It comes in interesting color designs as well. They also became popular with their much noted Puma Ferrari series which was made and provided for the Ferrari F1 team. This includes the Puma Ferrari GT and the one for the Ferrari player Kimi Raikkonen. Their Puma golf shoes are also very fantastic whether you are a player in the green who wants to be the fastest and who wants to stay ahead of the game. Their recent gold collection even includes a wide selection of colorful plaids, belts, tops and of course the golf shoes. Their Puma hi top sneakers were also considered as classics and deserves a place in the sneaker closet of every sneaker addict or collector. Their very particular unlimited high tops feature a unique set of garish croc skin plus all the OTT colors. Rockers really love its DMC colors of red, black and white while for the younger generation, they would probably love the cool color combination of the Purps which can be a good match of tight fluoro jeans.

The Puma logo would always largely depict of combined supremacy, authority and strength which was shaped way back in 1948. The puma logo is one of the most favorite designs of a sneaker logo for our entire team here in BAK. Even in the world of diving, we are amazed at how Puma gets actively involved especially with the Puma Neo Low. It is a classical and stylish Mostro of Puma. It is made of Neoprene diving cloth and uses special structure so it can give your feet a snug fit.

And of course, for those who are just looking to wear ideal everyday sneakers, there can be nothing better than the Puma Speed Cat. It took its inspiration from the European streetwear which includes a leather formstripe on suede material. It comes in a variety of colors throughout the years and we are looking forward to more releases by Puma for this particular sneaker line that they have.
