The military get the most powerful and hardy items of clothing that anyone in the world can dream of, and it’s fair to say that they deserve as much. Nonetheless, when it comes to style, theirs is not the most enviable position. With these new Kevlar-equipped Free Sole Military Boots from Nike, we have our opportunity of trying out the military’s way without giving up on style.

With a “Sticky Rubber and Natural Motion Cushioning equipped free sole, puncture and laceration resistant thermoplastic forefoot shield and genuine leather with Kevlar Shield”, the description of this pair already has the air of a complicated military manual.  But we’re glad to say that the boots live up to the hype, and deliver on their promise with style and strength.

If you’re looking for that touch of power that is associated with the military in your choice of footwear, or if you simply want to own the hardiest boots that are available for civilians, there is the choice: Nike SFB – Kevlar-Equipped Free Sole Military Boot will more than satisfy your expectations.

  4. Donald Says:

I would like to know where I can buy a pair of these boots? Also what is the sizing, do they fit like a nike shoe or are they bigger/smaller? Thanks

  5. Jim Says:

Don’t buy them. Bought them out of curiosity and was disappointed. If you plan on getting them for “work” of any sort, they more than likely won’t work for you. Very flimsy, no protection from impact and no ankle support. Disappointed.

  6. Gennaro Says:

Where can I buy these? Very interested in getting a pair to try out. Going to Afghanistan soon!!!

  7. Duck Says:

I order mine back in Jan 09, I wish I order more because I love this things. They are super confortable. The website that I ordered for is no longer working. I even used the linking on the order receipt and it wont work.

  8. db Says:

    nikestore.com/sf

  10. angelo Says:

keep in mind that AR 670-1 says that the army combat boot must be of TAN color, and the tip of the toe is a pretty distinct brown. this may not fly for most units. something to think about.

  11. Mike Says:

Angelo…are you blind? The tip is tan in color. Are you bucking for CSM? There is always one in the crowd.

  12. garrett Says:

You can get them at the nike store.

I am trying to find a pair in a size 11 and Nike.com does not have them. My son is a cadet at West Point and tried them on. He said they are very comfortable. Any help finding some? I want to buys some for my cadet for Christmas.

  14. Robert Says:

Your son should try being a soldier first, he doesn’t need boots, he need on the job training. Boots are nice, but a better gift would be surefire flashlights or better than standard issue eye protection

  15. jeremy Says:

not all of us have to follow AR 670-1 douche

  16. mike Says:

very true that we dont all fallow AR 670-1 and to robert… are you high… happy feet call for a happy soldier… i bet that surefire will help his feet a great deal on a 16 mile ruck

  17. Evol Bob Says:

G.I. joes are the best when they fight each other and not terrorizors , those boots are the shinnizle fools!

  18. Dr Nancy St John Says:

I bought this boots for my military son for Christmas, he texted me to say they are awesome , he says they go from hiking to running without changing shoes, thank you, you may want to think about a MILITARY DISCOUNT ( since these men and women are putting their lives on the line for our freedom , it could be your way of giving back , this war will be over one day , and people will remember the companies that supported them , a good tool for Brand Recognition and it is also sad they are having to buy their own boots for addition comfort)Thanks again for a GREAT product.(by the way my son wears an 11 & none were in stock so 11&1/2 works well with thicker socks)

  19. brian Says:

    where is the swoosh?

  20. Kevin Says:

First of all, the Bellevilles that they sell in the PX and Clothing and Sales have BROWNISH Soles so dont go talking about AR 670-1 because the boots the Army sells have the same colored soles.

  21. Tim Says:

It is all about your Commanders discretion. how easy would it be to show your commander and let him make a decision for not only yourself but even your whole company if someone else would want a pair.

  22. lawrence j. phillips Says:

The swoosh is on the inside sole of the boot. You can google the images and will see that Nike thought of the Army regs when making the boots. Just Do It

  23. Krad Says:

My brother is currently in Afghanistan and swears by these boots. He’s recommending them to a group of my friends that are deploying in the next few months. If the 101st is allowing them in Afghanistan than I’m sure other units will use their own disgression in whether or not they will allow their deploying soldiers to wear them. It really just depends on the unit and the mission. Kudos to Nike for making a boot that makes our soldiers more comfortable during their missions.

  24. Terry Says:

Good luck finding a pair. It seems every vendor (including Nike) is out of most sizes. You can get a size 7 or 12-15 and that is about it. If somebody could post a suggestion it would be appreciated.

  25. Della Says:

Yesterday I found a sz 8 for my daughter. She leaves for Airborne school in 2 wks and I really lucked out. Want you all to know what I did. I started calling big city Nike stores and asking what they had available. I ended up finding a display pair at the downtown Chicago store and they let me purchase them. So start calling and good luck.

  26. Zac Says:

Nike.com has em now, just got a pair of 11′s

  27. Darryl Says:

I am currently in Afghanistan, Jim your an idiot, these boots are the product us Infantrymen have been begging for. Its a shame that all the normal boot sizes get snagged up by the POG’s. AR 670-1 can kiss my rear, because all in all my feet are what make me my money. Buy these boots and tell everyone you know to request them. Maybe they will catch the hint and start making more.

  28. Brian Says:

These boots are now available on AAFES.com for $99.00. Awesome boots for an awesome price.

  29. Pete Says:

These boots are approved by AR 670-1. I know only because I wear them and the Oakley boots. Both boots are good, the Nike boot is way better on the feet! My first pair lasted about six months, I think it was just a defect. Second pair has lasted me all through SFAS with over 100 miles on them!!!

  30. Engineer Wife Says:

Grrr, my husband is stationed in Iraq and is getting frustrated looking for a size 9 and like most we cannot locate a pair. Nike should have a trailers of these boots they are so popular with the military! Come on Nike, give our military some comfort while they are fighting for your freedom and for the company to continue making more money! Hey, while you’re at it, how about a discount too, betchya Michael Jordan would also agree it’s a great idea! Ask him!

  31. Abdul Recher Says:

I wish acquiring over a broken heart can be so easy as following a few steps.. but its not

  32. AKO Webmail Says:
