It did not take Nike much long before they applied the treatment of the ‘Mariners’ to the new hybrid sneaker show of Ken Griffey which is the Air Max Jr. It replaces the emerald tone leads to the Fresh Water tone which we have certainly seen on the more recent Griffey releases. Examples of these would be the Air Griffey Max I and II. It comes with teal color accents along with the black on the nubuck material of the show specifically on the tongue, the border of the swoosh and the heel pull tab.
You can still see some minimal hints of the varsity red detailing seen right on the loops and the eyelets with white working on the Swoosh brand. It also has an underlayer made visible throughout the mesh and it goes the same with its side panels. To top it all off, there is of course the Max Air Unit.
