The Nike Zoom Elite+ comes this summer with a classic model but has an attention grabbing colorway. It is set dominantly in white mesh and some synthetic for its uppers. It has the colors of volt, black and sail scattered on its entirety. It will be made available in retailers within May.

The celebration of Nike’s 25^th anniversary just continues to heat up with brand new images of the Nike Air Trainer 1 Safari. This is a silhouette that was endorsed by Bo Jackson and uses some premium leather right on its inner linings and the toe box. It also implements safari print all throughout its panels for the heels and the toe.

Nike would always have a special part in the list of site categories of Bay Area Kicks. We always feel privileged to present new releases and even looking back at the old models of Nike. It is to come up with the simplest and most modest running shoes which were first called as Onitsuke Tigers in the US without costing a lot to consumers. BAK researched that everything started with Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman united with one idea. Phil was an accounting student in the University of Oregon while Bill was the school’s iconic running coach. He was also the popular trainer of US teams and Olympic athletes. He was also known to be the one who made jogging a popular activity in the US. After two years, both invested on $500 a piece on the idea that they can build a multibillion dollar shoe and sports apparel company which turned out today to be Nike.

Their company did not remain to be a business that is limited only to importing for long. Bill soon had ideas on how to improve on the Onitsuka shoe models and his partner was also convinced that they could make more money by selling their own shoes rather than always serving as a middleman. They moved their operations to a Californian retail store and the following year, Bill came up with his own model which what we now call as Nike Cortez.

Up to date, we still feature a lot of Nike Cortez models in our blog postings. Now going back to our recall of how Nike shoes started, they were ready by 1971 to end their Onitsuka shoes distribution and just decided to focus on the development of their very own footwear. That very same year, they released the first original shoe which is a soccer and football cleat. Since then, their collaboration with various legendary athletes boomed. By 1982, they released the ever popular Air Force 1 that served as an ideal basketball shoe and continues to be a staple fashion in the sneaker world. Whether it is on or off the court, a variety of Nike Air Force 1s remained very in demand.

This innovation was then followed by the Nike Air Max in 1987. This started the development of the first ever shoes that have pocket cushioning and foam free. This serves to be the first in the continuing line of innovative and cutting edge running shoes of Nike. By 1985, even brighter things came for Nike when the popular NBA player standout Michael Jordan signed a contract with them which led to the release of the first ever Air Jordans.
