If you do not want to miss score on Valentines day this February, then better get this brand new color for the Nike Air Max NM. It is the match of the one for the guys set in black, white and university gold but this one has black and pink since it’s meant for girls. It has hints of pink appearing right on the tongue and the heel of the pair a s well. It has white for the swoosh and the fabric made for its loops of laces.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Bonsai 4/20

This pair was inspired by the Bonsai Hemp for the SB Dunk Low that was released way back in 2004. It comes with a great mix of off white for its suede and the classic green that is refreshing as well. It sits on vulcanized gum outersole to top off the entire source of inspiration of these shoes. The Blazer comes around again this 2012 and this time it is set up in wool in a color of natural grey. It comes with seamless and premium wool for its uppers. It went through Nike tech process that is unique. It came up with a leather liner in black with a white leather tongue. This is a very nice choice for those in the lookout for something simple.

The color changing uppers can seem to be the latest color design for the Kobe VII features. From purple shades to blue, it is just interesting to have a shoe pair like this, isn’t it? This is an all time classic pair from the entire product catalog of Nike itself. It is designed by Tinker Hatfield and was first released in 1991. It uses the very unique Huarache technology and its memorable colorways too. It is also the first Nike pair to have the speckled midsole design. No better way to hike the mountains but with this pair of classic Nike shoes.

Nike would always have a special part in the list of site categories of Bay Area Kicks. We always feel privileged to present new releases and even looking back at the old models of Nike. It is to come up with the simplest and most modest running shoes which were first called as Onitsuke Tigers in the US without costing a lot to consumers. In fact, it has always been such an honorable thing for all of us to always help in informing most of our readers and sneaker fans with how Nike started during its humble beginnings.

BAK researched that everything started with Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman united with one idea. Phil was an accounting student in the University of Oregon while Bill was the school’s iconic running coach. He was also the popular trainer of US teams and Olympic athletes. He was also known to be the one who made jogging a popular activity in the US. After two years, both invested on $500 a piece on the idea that they can build a multibillion dollar shoe and sports apparel company which turned out today to be Nike.

Their company did not remain to be a business that is limited only to importing for long. Bill soon had ideas on how to improve on the Onitsuka shoe models and his partner was also convinced that they could make more money by selling their own shoes rather than always serving as a middleman. They moved their operations to a Californian retail store and the following year, Bill came up with his own model which what we now call as Nike Cortez.

Up to date, we still feature a lot of Nike Cortez models in our blog postings. Now going back to our recall of how Nike shoes started, they were ready by 1971 to end their Onitsuka shoes distribution and just decided to focus on the development of their very own footwear. That very same year, they released the first original shoe which is a soccer and football cleat. Their very famous tagline of Just Do It was designed and started by the ad agency named Wieden+Kennedy. Not only through advertising did they pick up their popularity but also through their nonstop technological advancements to make their shoes better. Since then, their collaboration with various legendary athletes boomed. By 1982, they released the ever popular Air Force 1 that served as an ideal basketball shoe and continues to be a staple fashion in the sneaker world. Whether it is on or off the court, a variety of Nike Air Force 1s remained very in demand.

This innovation was then followed by the Nike Air Max in 1987. This started the development of the first ever shoes that have pocket cushioning and foam free. This serves to be the first in the continuing line of innovative and cutting edge running shoes of Nike. By 1985, even brighter things came for Nike when the popular NBA player standout Michael Jordan signed a contract with them which led to the release of the first ever Air Jordans.
