Converse continuously produces variety of creative styles and colors of sneakers without changing its tradition. This year, Converse still continue to produce Nirvana founder Kurt Cobain’s footwear collection. And this coming Spring 2010, another pack is scheduled to be released consist of 2 Chuck Taylor Hi’s and 2 Chuck Taylor Lo’s. Compared to the Grunge pack released previously which includes a Jack Purcell and a One Star Shoes, this set looks a little more clean. But I do think the Grunge is better than this. Well, it all depends on the person who’s gonna wear it you know.

I cant count how many times I’ve seen the classic Converse silhouette being reinvented into something awesome. Seriously. There have been hits and misses in the past but this time, it just looks great. We sneakerheads here in Bay Area Kicks really like this version of the Converse All Star. It just… speaks to us. Ha!
So staying true to the original design, its basically the same Chuck Taylor shape except where you’d expect canvas, there’s leather. Laces are the same, done in black but the toe cap and soles are still white.
As of this writing, San Francisco’s The Dark Side Initiative has stocks.
In 2008 when companies worldwide started joining the (RED) campaign, Converse came out with the 1Hund(RED) line for their shoes. This shoe was released but was only seen in selected (RED) stores worldwide. And now we have noticed that they are slowly making their way to the Converse stores in malls.

The shoes have a one of a kind zipper placement that is so rarely seen. It is along the back of the shoe like where a jacket would normally close. The motorcycle leather motif also lends some quilted details that makes this shoe quite attractive. The traditional white outsole that Converse has is present and the shoe itself has a time-renowned build, the original Converse shape. The price of these kicks are at around $200 and expect to see different colors coming together soon.

An exciting new line of sneakers named First string courtesy of our friends from Converse, is going to be up for release later this year. It will be released with an interesting model in the form of Auckland Racer. It comes in interesting colorways of black/silver, navy blue/sky blue and black. These low top babies are devoid of any stitching except for that ankle and the stitching of the Converse tag on the tongue. The reflective upper also adds charm to the design.
Simple and stylish at the same time, we are certain these kicks will sizzle once offered up for sale.

An uber cool addition in the Converse family, the Converse Pappalardo Pro. Well, for starters, it’s the first signature shoe designed for Anthony Pappalardo. It’s the first ever skate shoe to be drafted to the PRODUCT(RED) humanitarian project. Now how cool is that!
The pair comes in red, white and blue colorway. Scheduled for release come spring of 2010.

This shoe reminds me of Dippin’ Dots. You know, small yummy ice cream that doesn’t actually look like ice cream at first glance? Looks yummy right?
Although this is already the 20th century and the shoe era where most brands release models that are in black or silver, the retro-like facade will make you look cool (less the afro and the bell-bottom jeans).
Oh, I almost forgot. This kick is actually called as the Converse Weapon Hi Polka Dot. They made another Weapon Hi classic since the Weapon Evo that they released last month became a hit.
Online sneaker store called MITA already have this “smarties sneaker” up and available in their website already. Not sure though if the Converse Weapon Hi Polka Dot will become available in US and other parts of the world. But if you want to get hold of this eye-candy, better order it online now!
