Reebok ATR ‘Talkin’ Krazy’ – Dry Erase Sneakers

Reebok ATR Talkin' Krazy

Kids can be very playful sometimes. They like to doodle, scribble, and squiggle on pretty much everything that they can have their hands on and sneakers are no exceptions. Kids have been writing on their sneakers with pens & permanent markers and they can either ruin or improve their sneaker’s appearance. Now, kids will no longer worry about messing up their favorite kicks with Reebok’s brand new “Talkin’ Krazy” dry-erase basketball shoes. These lightweight, super comfortable kicks boast a mid-cut design, with a herringbone outsole & removable sock liner. It features a dry-erase upper part where you can do all your writings & sketches. Reebok’s dry-erase version combines the 2 best aspects of youth sports: smack talking or self expression & customization- allowing wearers to incorporate various colors & their own unique designs by applying graphics with dry-erase markers that come with the shoes.

Street Art Customs by Hush-Man

Street Art Customs

I saw this amazing work of art at soleheaven.com and found out that the genius who made this is a man they call “Hush”. The man is very well known for being extremely talented with paints and sprays. For this classic plain white Reebok, he lets the canvas take it’s own path by building up, and tearing down layers of paint. I’m sure each one of us have our own “Hush” inside us that can come up with something as creative as this.

Allen Iverson - Reebok Answer 13 - Light Grey/Red- Great Colorway or a Throwaway?

Reebok Answer 13

Here’s a look on this 13th signature sneaker of Allen Iverson. This Reebok 13 is in light grey and red colorway which is accented with a darker grey midsole. AI is printed in red across the tongue tag and on the heel of the sole, there’s a signature Reebok ‘Hexride’ stamp. This is one decent ballin shoe, however, not to be the most favorite out of his signature line up. It would look better in darker colorways like black/silver or black/grey perhaps. What do you think?

Atmos x Reebok Ex-O-Fit Strap - Spotted Suede Pack

atmos-x-reebok-ex-o-fit-strap-spotted-suede-pack

If Vans is the vanguard of style, and Nike, the master of the force, Reebok is the lord of creativity. Over the years, they have never allowed trends and fads to obscure their basic mission, and clear vision: to create ever more creative designs for sneakerheads, and to bask in the glory of their powerful creations, as the world revolves, and each they brings new challenges and achievements to their roster.

In this design, Reebok has teamed up with that famous Japanese retailer atmos to create one of the most striking designs of this year so far. The colors here are not easy to combine unless the artist is fully in control of his palette, but Reebok’s geniuses were not only able to combine them, but also to recreate them in a spectacular show of command and control in sneaker design.

The mighty design does not require much verbal elaboration, and we’ll conclude by noting that the pair is available at the upper reaches of the atmosphere, floating among UFO’s and clouds. Its earthly version is available at atmos. We wish you good luck on catching either.

Reebok Freestyle + Ex-O-Fit Hi - Basquiat Collection - Fall 2009

reebok-fall-2009-basquiat-exo-fit-hi-freestyle-1

Reebok Freestyle is an experimental approach to shoe design that aims to trump classicism in favor of courageous creativity, and unabashed progress. Reebok seems to be convinced that the sneakerworld needs better designs and more powerful shoes every year to sustain the interest of sneakerheads, and the beautiful manifestation of this idea is this pair.

The French painter, Jean Michel Basquiat, and his chaotic, innovative, and audacious designs lie behind the conception of this unique pair. Reebok appears to have determined that the more audacious the design the greater its potential to convince the sneakerlovers. We can but agree with this conviction.

They will be available at select Reebok retailers sometime this fall. Catch them as soon as you can.
