It was in the 1966 Olympic Games when the Onitsuka Mexico 66 was first seen. It was obviously the reason how it has gotten it’s name. The Mexico 66 is the first shoe with the legendary Onitsuka Tiger Stripes, manufactured from leather and has a thin rubber extrusion sole. Additionally the name of the shoe is in the heel range. This edition of the Mexico 66 appears in a noble combination of white leather and Denim.

I’m ecstatic with people having their passion for collecting different things. Toys, money, stamps, shoes and so much more. But this guy from niketalk.com really caught my attention for having an estimate of almost a hundred pairs of sneakers he ever bought in three years! Quite extraordinary huh? I am 101% sure he’s not the only person with this kind of collection. And I would love to see more.

Tommy, Angelica, Chuckie, Phil and Lil. These were just some of the fictional characters from the famous Nickelodeon Animated Television Series, Rugrats. I saw this cool custom sneakers inspired from the said cartoon series from niketalk.com and would you believe that these shoes were especially made for a grown up? You read that right folks. A pair was done by Da Prince Customs for a customer that loves old school Nicktoons. The shoe itself is yellow base with the Rugrats logo on the tongue and the characters on each one side of the shoe. These were also entered on the paintorthread contest and definitely have a good chance of winning.

I love the gold especially the way it look on these customs. The gold and and brown really fit the design and look great at the same time. Chicago based custom sneaker artist St!zo has collaborated with Nike to create a pair of Air Force Ones for a fan of artist and toy designer, Mad L. An all black pair of Air Force 1 Low were provided for customization, and the finished product is what you see before you. They feature a Big money theme which explains the gold accents, as well as also featuring pieces of the MAD L character collection as well as his tag ghosted throughout the design.

Alife Rivington Club x Asics Gel Lyte II - Summer 2009 Preview
The legendary Asian brand Asics and iconic American marvel ALIFE have come together to create a living pair of magic and style. Clearly, this is one of the best offerings in the market so far this year, with its might, attitude, perfectionism, and incredible stylishness.
Asics is of course unbelievably popular in Asia, and this design once again proves that they did not get their popularity out of luck. The magnificent lines and contours of this work of art seriously would put Pheidias to shame for not having achieved them earlier. If the Greeks had had thier pair they would place it in the Parthenon instead of the legendary Zeus statue and worship it.
Yes indeed, this is perfect. We’ll update you with the release date soon.

Classic Kicks x Fila - July 2009
Fila is a legacy brand from Italy which has had a major presence in the sneaker scene since the 90’s. With designs like these, it’s not hard to see why. The apparent classicism of this beautiful creation is compounded by the mighty lines of the form that can easily inspire a whole new roster of basketball and sports heroes for the next generation.
The colors are solid and clear. The form is pure and effective. There’s neither excess nor deficiency in the design; everything is in place, just like the body of one of the top models of our time.
This is a nice and convincing debut from this venrable brand. Whether it aims to trash opponents, or just to crash and smite the enemies of sneakerdom with its jaw-shattering elan, this is a magnificent design.
This is a Classic Kicks exclusive, we suspect.
