The Air Jordan 6 is undoubtedly one shoe to remember. Not only did Michael Jordan won his first NBA title while sporting the shoe but also for the reason that he won his first MVP NBA Finals award at that time. It was in the 1990-1991 season when the first AJ6 was initially released, the season when Chicago Bulls won the championship against the Los Angeles Lakers. As an improvement to the past five models, Tinker Hatfield included “a spoiler” which are basically 2 holes on top of the tongue that allows the wearer to easily put the sneakers on in addition to a clean toe box and the number 23 incorporated on the footwear’s design. As for the rubber icy soles, aside from transforming it to a much more solid rubber, it was maintained along with the lace locks. The Retro Air Jordan VI was the very first retro Jordan shoe to be created in an olympic colorway. For the Sydney 2000 games, an Olympic colorway was produced in limited quantities of 3000 pairs. And also to celebrate the defining moment of Jordan’s first championship Nike unveiled a commemorative Black & Gold AJ6 package having a White, Black & Gold Jordan 11 sold as the “Defining Moments Pack”.
